RIOTS SPREAD ACROSS MIDDLE EAST AFTER EGYPT'S UPRISING

The Egypt’s uprising has created a domino effect on other Middle East countries. At least two deaths reported in street clashes in Iran and Bahrain and violent demonstrations in Yemen, as further protests and strikes erupted across Egypt. This is getting out of control. One after another and it spreads like wildfire.

Bank officers/staffs now picketing asking for higher pays previously the police force.
Who’s next? They got Hosni Mubarak to resign. They should be focusing on rebuilding their country. No more unrest should be no more. This not only affecting egypt but also other countries.

Egyptian cyber activist kisses soldier who beats him

image

CAIRO: Google marketing executive Wael Ghonim who emerged as leader of the street protests which brought down President Hosni Mubarak kissed the soldiers who mistreated him after being released.

I love what he said. This one of it:

“And I forgive them, I have to say. I forgive them, because one thing is that they were convinced that I was harming the country,” he said. “I’m sort of like a traitor, I’m destabilizing the country.

“So when he hits me, he doesn’t hit me because… he’s a bad guy. He’s hitting me because he thinks he’s a good guy,” he said.

Egypt riot heightens: protestors threatening to shut off key government building

CAIRO: Protestors are threatening to shut down government key buildings if their demands for President Hosni Mubarak to step down not met.
They were burning with anger following to Mubarak speech last night. Mubarak clinching to his post as the president despite the protest. His speech not enough to ease the riot as the people feel that it did not change the fact that he is still the president despite of delegating his power to the vice president.
Al Jazeera news said, as the protestors demanding Mubarak to step down, he and his family has left Cairo to a resort for safety reason.

MUBARAK IS PLAYING WITH FIRE

I woke up this morning and went straight to watch the world news. I was so happy before going to bed last night thinking that Egypt president Hosni Mubarak would finally relinquish his post which means riot would also end.
But all he did was playing with fire. He said that he has surrendered the power to the vice president.
I dont think so because the VP did not have the authority to dissolve the cabinet, he doesn't have the power to change the constitution. They did not meet the demand by the people and his speech/statement today would only fuel more anger.
Many fear that this would only trigger a serious problem. People are flooding the street disappointed and angry.

Stop accusing!

Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman has requested bloggers to stop accusing government that they have been delaying in rescuing Malaysian student in Egypt.
Pls read more HERE
Yes I know Datuk Seri, its hard to evacuate all. Lots of process, that we know too. But do you need to wait for yellow code before you decided to take them out? My nephew was right smack in the heart of the city where the riot took place. He and his colleagues should be at least moved out from their student quarters to a much safer place. Instead of doing that. They were asked to stay put and lock themselves in. eat whatever that they have to survive.
Indonesia has started to move out their nationals from Egypt since Feb 1. When did we start ours? We started our evacuation process two days later..Datuk Seri..thank God that there were no fatalities reported among Malaysian there.

As all know, the most covered news would be the anti-government riots in Egpyt.
Among of the stuff they talked about was the attack on international journalists who were there to cover the news.
The attack according to the foreign news were done by Internal Ministry. This to stop them from feeding the other countries on what happen in Egypt.
According to dailymail.uk, an online news report, at least one journalist killed while dozen more attacked or detained by the military. The government spokesperson however denies it is trying to intimidates the reporters.
